Who is Travelport?

Travelport is a travel technology company.

​

We are here to make the experience of buying and managing travel continually better for everyone, wherever they are and however they need us. We facilitate travel commerce by connecting the world’s leading travel providers with online and offline travel buyers, all through our proprietary business-to-business (B2B) platform.

What is Preferred Placement?

​

  • Page 1 placement allows hotels to position at or near the top of travel agents search results (where 98% of bookings occur) while they are shopping and booking hotels in and around your city.

  • Upon enrollment, properties receive preferred placement in the Travelport Commercial Platform, reaching high value travel buyers globally.

  • The Added bonus of either Hotel Highlights Newsletter or Hotel Search Reports will compliment Page 1 placement. (Refer to details page for Hotel Highlights newsletter description or Hotel search Reports).

How do I enroll?

​

  • Millennium Hotels & Resorts will always be offered the lowest dynamic price (currently 15% discount). For the latest pricing contact your Regional Account Manager Natalie Livingstone - Natalie.livingstone@travelport.com

  • For new participants/hotels to enroll, please click here and complete the online form.

  • After completing the Opt-in online, you will receive a confirmation email. No further action is needed.

  • For current participants, your hotel is automatically enrolled every year. There is no need to complete the online Opt-in form.

My hotel did not opt-in on time. Can my property still participate?

​

Yes! Your hotel can still enroll for the remaining months of the current program term. The current program term will end December 31st of every year.  Pricing will be pro-rated lowest dynamic rate from opt in. example: Sign in June 2023. Your contract will be contracted from June 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023.

​Please complete the Opt-in form in the Opt in tab. A representative will follow up with you to confirm your participation.

What are the options in terms of start dates and subscription lengths?

​

The annual program is from January 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023. However, hotels do have the opportunity of opting in monthly up to July 1st 2023.  So therefore hotels will be able to have a shorter subscription as short as 6 months.  Rates will be prorated based on start date.

How is availability display sorted?

​

Hotels that participate in the Preferred Placement program rotate amongst their peers every 60 seconds above non-preferred placement hotels on any applicable search criteria.

​

Your hotel will display at the top of the search results based on the city name, airport code, or reference point and other search criteria input by travel agents. (i.e. chain code, distance, IBM rates access code).

​

With Preferred Placement, will my hotel always appear on the display?

​

Travelport qualifies properties based on the travel agents’ search criteria, whether it is a preferred placement participant or not. It will then display preferred placement participants at or near the top of the search results whilst the non-preferred placement hotels that meet the search results display at the bottom.

How will my hotel be billed?

 

Hotels will be billed by Millennium Hotels & Resorts UK central head office. Please contact your local head office representative to discuss further.

Where and when can I get my Preferred Placement ROI reports?

Your local account manager will send out quarterly reports. This will be on or around the second week of the month.
